Building Strong Families Conference: Rooted in Recovery
Centerstone has partnered with the Coffee County Anti-Drug Coalition to host the fourth annual Building Strong Families Conference. The event, titled “Rooted in Recovery,” is free and open to the public. Single and multiple day registrations are available.

The Building Strong Families Conference brings together local, regional and national experts to address topics ranging from the effects of prenatal substance abuse on brain development, secondary trauma, suicide prevention, co-occurring disorders, clinician self-care to the role of ethics in healthcare.
Among the nationally-renowned session leaders are Dr. Kevin Reeder of Treatment Innovations in Mass. who will lead a special training and certification course for the evidence-based practice “Seeking Safety” and Dr. Ira Chasnoff from the Children’s Research Triangle in Chicago who will be sharing some of his research findings on prenatal drug use and its effects on newborns and children.
