Clubhouse Ages: 18 and older

The Clubhouse provides an environment of community, friendship, education, meaningful work and support for individuals who experience behavioral health disorders. The goal is to rebuild lives of participants with the belief that every member can sufficiently recover from the effects of mental illness and lead a personally satisfying life.
Eligibility: Membership in a clubhouse is open to anyone who has a history of mental illness. Membership in the program means belonging to, fitting in, and having a place where you are always welcome.

Adolescent Matrix Intensive Outpatient Program (Matrix IOP) Ages: Ages 13-18
State: IN
Matric IOP is a 16-week intensive and comprehensive evidence-based therapeutic model intended for adolescents meeting criteria for substance dependence. The adolescent Matrix Model consists of research-based techniques integrated into an approach that includes individual, family and group sessions and separate parent and adolescent substance-education groups. Fresh Start offers therapeutic group homes which provide short or long-term residential placements for children. Program offers a structured, nurturing environment and provides crisis intervention, assessment, counseling, parenting and aftercare support.

Adolescent Drug Education Class (ADEC) Ages: Ages: 12-18
State: IN
ADEC is an 8-hour lecture class that educates participants about aspects of substance use and abuse. The class focuses on the effects substance use has on the individual, society, family, education, and employment. ADEC is for adolescents who do not show signs of abuse or dependence, but show signs of experimentation and are experiencing consequences. Referrals are often from correctional and educational agencies.

Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Ages: Ages: 18 and older
State: IN
This Intensive Outpatient Program is designed for adult clients who have dependence diagnosis, havae been through the detox process and are seeking to address therapeutic issues while maintaining family, work and other daily commitments. Clients are introduced to 12-step programs and expected to attend 3 weekly meetings and obtain sponor, complete steps 1-3, and present first step in group, begin a comprehensive look at drug use and impact of use on life, identify and practice skills related to stress management, healthy coping skills and sober recreation skills and supports. Program meets 3 days each week for 2 hours per session. Random urine drug screens are part of the program. Must be staffed with Addictions team and therapist.
Eligibility: Adults with a diagnosis of substance dependence. Clients must have at least one documented week of abstinence. Acknowledge having a substance abuse problem and be motivated to change use-centered behaviors.

Evaluations are provided to children, adolescents and adults to determine severity of problem and recommended treatments. They are conducted by a Masters-level clinician or psychologist. Case management provides home-based support for those with severe behavioral health disorders, including monitoring and oversight of symptoms and progress, assistance with accessing needed community resources, consumer education and advocacy, crisis intervention, and life skill training. Case management also includes monitoring of day-to-day activities and assistance in receiving medical care when needed.
Eligibility: Generally appropriate for people with a behavioral health diagnosis who are having difficulty with some or many aspects of daily functioning.

The Business Empowerment Team is a vocational counseling program for individuals with serious mental illness or those referred by Indiana Office of Vocational Rehabilitation. It is designed to assist in the development of pre-employment skills, resume writing, interviewing and relationship skills, as well as providing job development and job coaching. Program staff may also provide on-site skill building and support.

Stress management, quality of life and myths of substance use are also covered. SAEC is for individuals who do not show signs of abuse/dependence, but have been experimentally using.
Eligibility: Clients who are first time offenders who clearly do not have issues of dependence. A typical participant may have a charge of: underage drinking, illegal possession, DUI or other minor substance-related charge. And possibly even a past charge of a substance-related nature. An individual must be willing to remain abstinent from substances of abuse, have and interest in learning, and willingness to complete the SASSI

Adult Transitional Group Homes (24 hour supervision) Ages: Ages 18 and older
State: IN
Provide a high level of supervision for seriously mentally ill adults while focusing on the skills needed to transition to more independent living. On-site services include case management, life skills training, and medication monitoring among other services offered. Residents in these facilities are expected to engage in Partial Hospitalization/Clubhouse programs, or to obtain employment or volunteer work during the stay. Guidelines on the length of stay vary at each facility.

Provides long-term stable housing for residents meeting HUD income and disability criteria. Sub-acute residential program offering psychiatric stabilization services in order to prevent hospitalization or as a transition after hospitalization. Psychiatric Evaluations & Medication Management Ages: All Ages

Centerstone provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and medication management to adult, adolescent and child clients with substance abuse and psychiatric diagnosis. Medication evaluation and monitoring is typically started after the consumer's initial evaluation with the intake therapist is reviewed, and the treatment team determines that a medical evaluation is in order. Evaluations and ongoing medication management is done by staff psychiatrists and clinical nurse specialists.

Forensic Diversion Program Ages: Adult male offenders

Services for up to 15 adult males, chemically dependent, possibly with secondary mental health issue, offenders. Program operates under the umbrella of the Clark County Community Corrections Program (Work Release Program). Programming runs from 8:00 am - 9:00 pm daily. Evidenced-based Cognitive Behavioral Treatment Program uses "A New Direction" Hazelden curriculum. Group psychotherapy and individual psychotherapy are the primary modes of service provision. 90 day stay in the Clark County jail followed by a 9 month period of community supervision with aftercare services. Program includes individual therapy, group therapy, education groups, individualized treatment, psychaitric consultations when appropriate, referrals for vocational training, housing and social services, aftercare monitoring for up to 9 months (in a home community or placement setting).

ACT is an integrated, self-contained, evidence-based treatment program based on an intensive, multidisciplinary, team based community treatment using home and community visits as the primary mode of intervention. This open-educational group focuses on controlling angry behavior. The group objectives include: identifying personal triggers, acquiring knowledge about anger, the difference between anger and aggression, the impact of alcohol or drugs on anger and behavioral skills, including time-outs, self-talk, relaxation techniques, communication skills, problem-solving skills and assertiveness. The program lasts eight weeks.
Eligibility: Client has a history of anger control problems as identified by self, probation officer or significant other. Client acknowledges that their anger is a problem. If substance use is involved, client must address this first with appropriate treatment prior to starting the Anger Management Group. Perpetrators of domestic violence are not appropriate for this group and should be referred to the Domestic Violence Group.

Adolescent Brief Intensive Group (BIG) Ages: 12-18

BIG is a group that focuses on the impact of drugs and alcohol in the client's life. The group utilizes substance information and drug education in addition to drug screens and other measures to provide clients with resources to evaluate their drug and alcohol use. During the 6-8 week course, clients learn about the difference between sue, abuse, and dependence, triggers, identifying high risk situations, thinking distortions, dealing with cravings, etc. Group members are required to complete a change plan before graduating from group. Referrals can be made from correctional, educational and familial systems.
