Project STAR (Standing Tall And Resilient) is a grant funded school-based prevention program that serves middle and high school students. The program, funded by the Tennessee Department of Health and the Metro Health Department, focuses on helping students and their families prevent the development of problem behaviors, such as substance use, violence and premature sexual activity. Project STAR comprises three components: curriculum facilitation to youth in a small group setting, service learning activities and parent involvement.
