Seeking Safety Program Ages: 18 and older

This group focuses on healing from PTSD trauma and Substance Abuse. This treatment was developed to help provide safe and appropriate coping skills to those with a history of trauma and substance abuse.
Eligibility: Women with PTSD and Substance Abuse diagnoses. Women with trauma history but inactive or nonexistent PTSD, women with only PTSD, or women with history of both and women with other impulse-control disorders. Note. Clients do not have to meet full criteria for current PTSD or substance dependence Disqualifiers: 1. Women who have active substance use or inability to abstain 2. Women whose trauma or PTSD sxs/instability prohibit successful group participation 3. Women who have a GAF < 35. Open group; Meets 1x week for 1.5 hrs/week
