The Effects of Risperdal or Zyprexa on Patients with Schizophrenia: A Long-Term Study of Clinical Outcomes
Herbert Y. Meltzer, MD
From 2000-2008, Dr. Meltzer, an international expert on schizophrenia research, worked with Centerstone researchers to gather data on the effects of Zyprexa (Olanzapine) and Risperdal (Risperidone) for people with schizophrenia. He measured statistics including physical health, weight gain, number of visits to a doctor, number of hospitalizations and number of ER visits. This information is invaluable to discerning the true long term costs and benefits of Risperidone and Olanzapine. Publications are forthcoming.
