Centerstone taps emergency medical services chief for Florida Board of Directors

James Crutchfield, chief of Manatee County Emergency Medical Services, has joined the Florida Board of Directors for Centerstone. He will serve a two-year term, beginning this month, on the seven-member board.

“James is a proactive, goal-driven professional who has been recognized at the local and state levels for his contributions to our community paramedic services. We are honored that he will be lending his time and invaluable insight to the Centerstone organization as we continue to serve a vast community need,” said Melissa Larkin-Skinner, Regional CEO of Centerstone.

Crutchfield has been instrumental in the design and implementation of Manatee County’s innovative community paramedic program and has served in a variety of capacities, covering both pre-hospital and hospital settings. He earned a degree in Emergency Medical Care through Western Carolina University and currently serves as the Access to Care Chairman for the Florida State Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council. He is a board member of the Manatee County Health Alliance and is active with several regional health and social coalitions.
