Centerstone’s Early Intervention program will end, but services will still be provided

Illinois simplifies billing for therapists to work with children under 3

Centerstone’s Early Intervention program will end on June 30, 2020, because billing for services was simplified by the state and contracted staff can now bill for their own services.

Early Intervention (EI) contracts with speech, physical, occupational and behavioral therapists to work with youth from birth to age 3.

“Billing for services was simplified by the state, and contracted staff can now bill for their own services,” says Edrica McDowell, Early Intervention program manager at Centerstone.

Therapists will continue to be contracted to serve children, but Centerstone will no longer provide billing services for these providers.
