Poverty: Cycles of Risk – free, online training

Centerstone will host Poverty: Cycles of Risk online training on August 30 from 10-11:30 a.m. CT via Zoom. CEUs are available and there is no charge to attend.

“This training will teach you about poverty, underlying conditions of poverty and the impact it has on our communities, as well as ways to make a difference in your community,” said Hannah Chapman, Centerstone Trauma, Treatment and Training (CT3) Trauma Training and Care Coordinator.

Objectives of the training include:

  • Gain a deeper understanding of how poverty and related conditions often reinforce each other
  • Awareness of your attitudes and beliefs about poverty and the people who live in it
  • Understanding the underlying conditions of poverty and the impact on our communities
  • Discuss ways you can make a difference in your community

The presenter will be Rachel Chruszczyk with Prevent Child Abuse Illinois.

This training has 1.5 hours of continuing education approved for IL LCPC / LPC, IL LCSW / LSW, and IL Nursing (LPN, RN, APN) under IDFPR Professional Counselor CE License No. 197.000263 and IDFPR Nurse CE Sponsor License No. 236.000184.
