Domestic Violence in the Military (for providers)

November 30 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

At least one in three women and one in seven men will be abused by an intimate partner at some point in their lives.

This 90-minute course is for mental health professionals and advocates, who serve military service members and families, to better understand the impact of abuse in our military community.  We will discuss recognizing and responding to power and control dynamics, distinguishing between post traumatic stress reactions and abusive behaviors, understanding the impact of abuse, helping victims recognize and manage triggers, and trauma-informed strategies for supporting victims/survivors in their healing journey.

You must register for this class in order to participate. If you have additional questions, email Pamela Jacobs.
