Leadership, Resilience and Community: Lessons from BIPOC Foremothers

Leadership, Resilience and Community: Lessons from BIPOC Foremothers

July is Black, Indigenous and People of Color Mental Health Awareness Month, and was created to bring awareness to the unique struggles that communities of color face regarding mental health challenges in the United States.  Author, thought leader and DEI Strategist, Rozella Kennedy will lead us in exploring the significance of two overlooked BIPOC women leaders. In this lively session, participants will use celebration as a tool for co-creation, learning, and partnership, while also discovering what courage and activation these leaders inspire in us.

There is so much possibility in finding common ground and deeper insights from Brave Foremothers whose lives and stories have been obscured or erased. We will take time to grow our mindset around inclusion, representation, power and community. This open-minded and open-hearted awareness invites new narratives about worth and valor, which can help us see communities of color more fully, and thereby strengthen our practice of providing supportive care.
