Mental Health First Aid Course and Certification
December 11 @ 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
Depression is one of the more commonly known forms of mental illness and costs businesses an estimated $44 billion in productivity annually in the USA.
Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based, nationally recognized and accredited course. It teaches adults how to identify symptoms of different types of mental illness in family members, friends or co-workers. This course will help guide in creating an action plan to assist a person who may be in crisis. Help your organization be pro-active in identifying the early warning signs.
Trainees learn how to assess the person for risk of harm or suicide, listen non-judgmentally, give reassurance, and encourage the person to seek professional help.
The training is free but you must register to attend.
