Providing Trauma Informed Care

June 18 @ 8:00 am - 9:30 pm

This training is intended to provide participants with further tools to support the process of trauma informed care. It’s not enough to just recognize that trauma occurs in most people’s lives, but how do we actually recognize those signs? Furthermore, participants will learn healthy boundaries of interaction with those that have experienced trauma. This training will also take an overview of trauma-based interventions.

Where: Carbondale South (2311 S. Illinois Ave.) – Large Group Room
Presenter: Julie Bailey, MA, LCPC, CADC, Clinical Coordinator
Cost to Attend: Free, but you must RSVP

Goals of the Presentation:
• How to recognize the signs of trauma.
• Do’s and don’ts when working with trauma survivors.
• Discussion of trauma-based Interventions

There are 1.5 CEUs available for LCPC, LPC, LCSW, and LSW.
If you have questions or need more information please contact Janette Heath.
