My name is Angela Bennett, and I work for Centerstone Addiction Recovery Center. I started out as a temporary employee in July 2015 and was fortunate enough to get hired on as a full-time permanent employee six months later. I work as the front desk receptionist. I greet every person who walks through our doors with kindness, compassion, and respect. I answer all calls and transfer them accordingly. I check-in clients and direct them to their appointments and classes. I accept items being dropped off for inpatient clients, including money, clothes, hygiene products, and anything they need for their 7-10 day medical detox.
I love what I do and I love making a difference. Working at Centerstone is rewarding for me and it has actually helped me in my own healing process since I lost my husband to an alcohol addiction five years ago. Believe it or not, I don’t even feel like I come to work every day because it doesn’t feel like work – I feel like when I wake up this is what I am supposed to do.
I have a wonderful son, Sean, a daughter-in-law, Michelle, and my first grandchild, Jack, who just turned one year old. When I am not working, I love spending time with my family and of course I love to babysit. I enjoy playing bingo and I love my alone time as well. I hope to continue my time here at Centerstone for a long time to come.
