Centerstone Announces New Compliance Officer

Nashville, Tenn. — Centerstone, Middle Tennessee’s leading provider of behavioral health services, has announced the addition of Laura T. Carrico as its new compliance officer.

In this role, Carrico will coordinate Centerstone’s compliance program, which includes working with government entities and ensuring the organization’s programs meet all regulations. She will provide training for staff members and monitor programs to ensure their quality.

Prior to joining Centerstone, Carrico served as legislative coordinator to the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration in the TennCare Bureau from 1999 to 2004. She was also the senior quality management administrator for Vanderbilt Management Services, Inc. from 1997 to 1999 and was the external quality review liaison for the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities from 1996 to 1997. From 1993 to 1996, Carrico held the position of legislative performance auditor to the Comptroller of the Treasury, Division of State Audit. She earned both her bachelor’s of science degree in business administration (1991) and her master’s of public administration degree (1993) from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
