Spring Hill, Tenn. — Centerstone announces its professional affiliation with noted psychiatrist Zia U. Wahid, M.D. He will see patients in the Spring Hill office of Centerstone Associates, a private specialty group practice of Centerstone, Tennessee’s leading provider of behavioral health services.

Wahid has been Medical Director of the Lloyd C. Elam Mental Health Center at the Meharry Medical Center in Nashville since 1995. He has also been a clinical assistant professor in the School of Nursing at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville since 2002. Wahid has served since 1995 as director of residency training for the department of psychiatry at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, as well as an assistant professor at the college. He worked as a staff psychiatrist at the Dede Wallace Center in Madison from 1992 to 1995. Wahid is a member of the American and Tennessee Psychiatric Associations, the National Medical Association, the American College of International Physicians, the Association of Pakistani Physicians of North America and the American Association of Directors of Psychiatry Residency Training. He earned a B.S. at the University of Punjab in Lahore, Pakistan, in 1980, and an M.D. from King Edward Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan, in 1984.
