Nashville, Tenn. — Becky Stoll, Centerstone’s director for Crisis and Referral Services, has been recognized as a Board Certified Expert in Traumatic Stress by the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress (AAETS). Stoll is one of only 82 professionals in the entire world to receive the accommodation within the January 2006 – July 2006 time period, according to AAETS Executive Director, Maria DeGeso.
AAETS is a network of professionals committed to the advancement of intervention for survivors of trauma. It is the largest organization of its kind, with members in every state and in over 55 foreign countries. To be named a Board Certified Expert in Traumatic Stress, an individual must be invited by AAETS to apply, meet stringent qualifications, and pass an extensive testing process.
Stoll, a licensed clinical social worker, is also certified by AAETS in Acute Traumatic Stress Management and is a Certified Trauma Specialist by the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists.
Stoll directs Centerstone’s Crisis and Referral Services and Crisis Management Strategies. In this role, she provides crisis response and disaster response training to school districts, businesses, industries, law enforcement, and civic groups.
