Centerstone Offers PATH Certification Course for Potential Foster and Adoptive Parents

Chattanooga, Tenn. – Centerstone, the nation’s leading not-for-profit provider of community- based mental health and addiction services, has announced upcoming Parents as Tender Healers (PATH) classes that will take place in Hamilton County.

Required by the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services for all potential foster and adoptive parents in Tennessee, PATH is a 12-class certification course that will take place every Thursday evening, beginning November 29 and ending in February. The classes will be held at Centerstone, located at 6110 Shallowford Road, Suite B, in Chattanooga.

PATH is designed to equip parents with a fundamental knowledge and understanding of the child welfare system, effective discipline, first aid and CPR, medication administration and other physical and emotional needs their adoptive or foster children may have.
