Nashville, TN – Centerstone Research Institute, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving behavioral healthcare through research and information technology, recently named Larry Croney as director of analytics. Croney will lead, manage and coordinate all business intelligence, data analytics, and data warehousing projects for the Research Institute.

Data analytics is a key component of the Research Institute’s research and technology focus. Through its Enlighten Analytics® platform, a business intelligence solution that helps behavioral health providers reduce operational costs while improving patient outcomes, the Research Institute won a number of competitive industry awards and was featured in IBM’s Smarter Planet Leadership Series for bringing groundbreaking ideas to reality. With Croney’s help, the Research Institute will expand its analytics solutions to address operational, clinical, research and financial problems in healthcare.
Croney joins Centerstone Research Institute after spending ten years with HCA/Parallon, where he held multiple positions including director of business intelligence for the Parallon Business Performance Group and director of business analytics for the Parallon Physician Service Center. In these roles, he was responsible for business intelligence and reporting for more than 200 client hospitals and 700 physician practices. He has also held positions at HCA, VitalSpring Technologies, and MicroStrategy.
Croney received a Master of Business Administration degree from Tennessee Technological University and a Bachelor of Science degree in management information systems from Auburn University.
