Centerstone Unveils the Giving Card

Respected Nashville nonprofit to receive proceeds from sale of card, which can be used from November 10 to 17

Nashville, Tenn.
— Centerstone, Middle Tennessee’s leading provider of behavioral health services, is introducing Nashville to the Giving Card, a successful fundraising concept familiar to several large metropolitan markets that encourages shoppers consumers to purchase the card for $50, then receive a 20 percent discount on merchandise available from participating exclusive retailers.

The Giving Card is valid from Thursday, November 10 through Thursday, November 17, 2005, and all proceeds from its sale will go to support Centerstone’s counseling and therapeutic services for children and their families.

Thanks to the Givinc Card’s presenting sponsor, SunTrust Bank, title sponsor, Seigenthaler Public Relations, and a host of participating retailers, 100% of the $50 card purchase goes directly to support Centerstone’s counseling and therapeutic services for children and their families.

“We’re bringing this innovative fundraising concept to Nashville just in time for the holidays, offering those who wish to support Centerstone the perfect opportunity to give as well as receive,” said Nancy Hubbard, Centerstone’s vice president for development. “The Giving Card is a win-win scenario for everyone – our children’s’ programs, area retailers, and our supporters, who will save on a wide range of personal and gift items.”

Shoppers wielding the Giving Card will save on everything from the latest fashions, antiques, home furnishings, fresh flowers, gift items, jewelry, outdoor gear and children’s toys from more than 50 participating retailers:
