Centerstone’s Pam Fox Appointed to Mayor’s Advisory Committee for People with Disabilities

Nashville, Tenn. — Pam Fox, program manager for Centerstone’s LIFESolutions recovery services, has been appointed by Mayor Bill Purcell to serve on the Mayor’s Advisory Committee for People with Disabilities.

The Mayor’s Advisory Committee for People with Disabilities is dedicated to helping Nashville’s citizens gain a better understanding of the needs of people with disabilities. Established by Executive Order, the committee ensures the city’s compliance with the American’s With Disabilities Act (ADA) and addresses issues that affect the disabled community.

In her work with Centerstone’s LIFESolutions recovery services, Fox helps individuals who are being treated for mental illnesses achieve recovery and return to employment through education and support services.

“We are pleased that Mayor Purcell has appointed Pam to this important advisory committee,” said Centerstone CEO David Guth. “Pam is very knowledgeable about the challenges faced by those diagnosed with mental illness. She is uniquely qualified to represent their needs on this committee.”

Fox’s term is effectively immediately and expires July 26, 2007.
