Nashville, Tenn. — Centerstone Chief Executive Officer David Guth and Advantage Behavioral Health CEO Debbie Cagle have been honored by NAMI Nashville Inc., an affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Guth received the Professional of the Year Award, presented annually to a mental health professional who has contributed outstanding service to NAMI Nashville. Cagle received the President’s Award for her ongoing support of NAMI Nashville and her fundraising initiatives.
The awards were presented at NAMI Nashville’s annual Ambassador of Hope Awards Dinner held in Nashville recently. On David Guth’s Professional of the Year Award, Pat Williams, President of NAMI Nashville explained, “David has been a great supporter to us throughout the years. He is so sincerely dedicated to the behavioral healthcare field and is such a staunch champion and advocate of families and consumers in Nashville.”
As CEO, Guth is responsible for the development of Centerstone’s future vision. He graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BA in Mathematics and Psychology, and from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a MSSW in Administration and Planning. He has been with Centerstone since 1988.
The President’s Award recipient is personally selected by the President of NAMI Nashville for their outstanding support and dedication. “Debbie Cagle has always been very generous with her time and advice, said Williams. “This year, she has volunteered to initiate and lead a desperately needed fundraising committee. Funding has been diminishing for everyone so having Debbie’s expertise, time and talents in this area is extremely beneficial. I am proud to extend this year’s President’s Award to such a deserving healthcare professional.”
A graduate of Texas Woman’s University, Cagle is Centerstone’s Chief Managed Care Officer and CEO of Advantage Behavioral Health, a non-profit provider-owned behavioral health managed care company founded by Centerstone last year. Cagle is highly respected in the industry, with more than 15 years of experience in the field. Advantage is currently seeking an opportunity to become a TennCare behavioral healthcare organization serving Middle Tennessee. She has been with Centerstone since 2004.
