MEDIA ADVISORY: Centerstone to Offer Free Training Workshop During National Child Abuse Prevention Month

Centerstone’s Early Childhood Network (ECN) is partnering with A Kid’s Place to host a free Darkness to Light Prevention Training during National Child Abuse Prevention Month. The Darkness to Light program is designed to raise awareness of the prevalence and consequences of child sexual abuse by educating adults about the steps they can take to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to the reality of child sexual abuse. The training program is ideal for parents, professionals and volunteers who work with youth-serving organizations, such as faith-based organizations, camps, daycares, sports leagues, clubs and schools. During the training program, participants will engage in workbook activities as well as group discussion. Instruction materials will be provided.

Centerstone’s Early Childhood Network (ECN) provides quality intervention services in Maury Country for children (birth – third grade) and their families. ECN offers extensive resources for parents with children who have behavioral problems and experience emotional or behavioral disorders that interfere with family, school and community activities.
