MEDIA ADVISORY: How to Build Good Workplace Ethics

Free Breakfast Learning Series provides expert advice on maintaining workplace ethics and boundaries

WHAT:

Centerstone and the Ivy Tech Community College School of Liberal Arts and Sciences’ Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences will present a free, Breakfast Learning Series event titled, “Developing Ethical Practices and Determining Boundaries in the Workplace” with special guest speaker and industry veteran, Cindy Houston of Centerstone.

Houston, who has more than 40 years of clinical experience, has mentored clinical professionals and up-and-coming clinicians on the topic of ethics and has provided supervision in the clinical setting. She has also taught clinical behavioral health training workshops and classes for seasoned counselors and new therapists. At the breakfast event, Houston will share best practices for developing a foundation of ethical practices and ethics models of execution in the workplace. Participants will learn how to determine the difference between boundary crossing and boundary violation, their associated problems, and how to resolve unethical decision making issues that may arise.
