The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Program which provides forensic exams for sexual assault victims as an alternative to the emergency room. Centerstone works closely with the local hospitals as well as the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), Planned Parenthood and law enforcement to provide these services. Victims receive counseling, assistance and support through the legal system. Clients are linked to help with victims’ assistance funds. There is no requirement to file charges to receive services.
Victims of trauma need support as they heal. The staff and volunteers in Centerstone Rape Crisis program are committed, positive, open–minded, compassionate and supportive.
The Center is certified by the Florida Council Against Sexual Violence, which signifies that the Center meets the highest standards of care.
