Special care for the youngest client: from birth to adolescence
Centerstone has developed a special approach to help children overcome behavioral health challenges. Our counselors and therapists create an environment of trust to encourage young clients to open up and share their feelings. We develop individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each child. By teaming with families, schools and communities, we build a network of support that allows healing to occur.
Recognizing the importance of keeping families together, many of our programs include family counseling and parenting skills development — all aimed at creating an environment where our young clients not only improve, but also thrive. Our services are specifically designed to help children experiencing depression, anger, trauma, abuse and other issues. We offer:
- Outpatient services
- School-based services
- Community-based services
- Intensive in-home treatment
In a challenging phase of life, help for the whole family: adolescence into adulthood
Adolescents, as well as their families, cope with new and often painful challenges. Centerstone has a long, successful history of helping young adults overcome behavioral issues like depression, anger and substance abuse. We begin with individualized treatment plans designed to address specific needs. Our clinical experts use proven treatment methods and support from parents, guardians and schools to create the environment of encouragement and trust essential for improvement.
If you or someone you know is experiencing:
- Depression
- Trauma
- Anxiety
- Substance abuse
- Or other serious behavioral problems,
Centerstone can help.
We closely monitor the progress of each adolescent by collecting feedback from our clients and their parents, teachers and other health care providers. We look at changes in the frequency of discipline reports and hospitalizations, and we track positive trends such as improved school attendance and grades. This not only tells us if each individualized treatment plan is working, but it also helps us identify the best ways to help other adolescents rebound from adversity, prepare for adulthood and rediscover the simple joys of growing up.
Our services for children, adolescents and families include:
- Crisis intervention services
- Individualized needs assessment
- Psychiatric evaluation and treatment
- Medication evaluation and management – including prescription assistance, if needed
- Individual and group counseling
- Substance abuse and addiction disorder treatment
- Case management

The goal of the Child and Family teams is to promote family functioning by providing treatment to family members to address deficits related to a mental health disorder. Using a Trauma Informed approach, the team provides individual and family therapy, care coordination and life skills training in homes and schools. Child and Family Services assists with strengthening families and, in some cases, focuses on family reunification when families have been separated.
