Centerstone Hosts Legislative Visits
Recently, Centerstone hosted Rep. Greg Pence (IN) to discuss Centerstone Health Services FQHC Look-Alike which offers primary care services, and also discussed solutions around the growing mental health and substance use disorder needs faced by communities.
After his visit, Rep. Pence thanked Centerstone from the House floor and highlighted the need to expand access to services for those who experience mental health issues and substance use disorder. He encouraged his fellow legislators to remove the Medicaid IMD exclusion which would make care more accessible for the most vulnerable in our communities.
Other Centerstone locations, hosted Rep. Michael Bost (IL) and staff from Senator Mike Braun (IN) and Senator Bill Hagerty’s (TN) offices. These representatives learned more about Centerstone’s services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, outpatient mental health services for youth and adults, and the Tennessee Health Link program.
Thanks to these state representatives and staff for taking time to meet with our colleagues and patients to learn more about Centerstone services!
