Centerstone names Carol Bean as new chief operations officer
Centerstone, a nonprofit health system specializing in mental health and substance use disorder services, announces Carol Bean as chief operations officer. Bean joined Centerstone in 2014 as assistant corporate controller then advanced to director, vice president, and most recently served as Centerstone’s chief financial officer.
In her new role, Bean will provide day-to-day leadership and management to the organization’s regional CEOs to ensure Centerstone maintains excellence in the provision of patient care. She will also be responsible for working with leaders to develop effective growth strategies, ensuring the organization meets targets identified in Centerstone’s strategic plan. Additionally, Bean will work closely with Centerstone’s chief information officer and chief human resources officer to oversee the organization’s robust information technology and human resources departments.

Prior to joining Centerstone, Bean served in leadership roles at Deloitte Services LLP, Cigna Government Services, Coventry Healthcare, and America Service Group. She earned a master’s degree in business administration from University of Phoenix and a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration and accounting from East Tennessee State University.
