On June 24, 2022, Centerstone achieved certification as a Patient Safety Organization under the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). We are proud to be among the first PSOs in the United States to specialize in behavioral health.

What is a Patient Safety Organization?
Patient Safety Organizations (PSOs) collect and analyze data voluntarily reported by healthcare providers to improve patient safety and healthcare quality. PSOs provide valuable feedback to healthcare providers, promoting learning and preventing future safety events. Information shared with a PSO receives specific legal protections and contributes to the Network of Patient Safety Databases (NPSD). PSOs are certified and listed by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) under the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act of 2005 (the Patient Safety Act).
