Paying for Services

Centerstone is a nonprofit organization which means we’re committed to helping our patients access the mental health and addictions care they deserve. No matter the services or treatment you are seeking, we are ready to assist you through our billing process. Our customer care team will take the time to answer any coverage and billing questions you have. If you’re interested in learning more, give us a call at 877-HOPE123.

Most insurance plans accepted

We participate in most Federal, State, and private health insurance programs, including Medicare, Medicaid, and TRICARE. However, Centerstone services may not be accepted for payment by some health insurance programs depending on their coverage limits and exclusions. Centerstone does not guarantee that services received by a client will be covered by a Federal, State, or private health insurance program. Therefore, we encourage patients to verify their health insurance program coverage prior to receiving services from Centerstone.

Payment assistance

We understand the unknown cost of mental health and addiction services can be a deterrent to seeking much-needed care. Don’t let those unknowns scare you! Our customer care staff are familiar with our payment options and will ask questions to determine if you qualify for grant funding or need-based payment assistance programs. Our staff can explain options over the phone. Assistance is made possible through charitable donations to Centerstone’s Foundation, local and federal grant programs, and a sliding fee scale which is available to all clients but only at certain sites with National Health Service Corps or Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) certification. Discounts are based on family size and income. Eligibility may vary by state.

The best way to find out if you qualify is to reach out. Give us a call at 877-HOPE123.

Paying for care

For insured patients, you can expect to be billed for co-payment and/or deductibles at the time of your appointment. Once your appointment has concluded you may receive an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) in the mail. This statement is sent to you by your health insurance company to explain what services were paid for through your insurance plan and will indicate the amount that is your responsibility. After the insurance claim has been filed and paid by your insurance provider, any remaining balance will be billed to you.

Patients paying out-of-pocket for services will be billed the full amount at the time of service.

For questions relating to your bill or to make a payment by phone, please reach out to the billing department in your area:

We accept payments in the form of cash, check, and debit or credit card.
