Synopsis of Training:

This training will focus on how to provide a trauma-informed assessment with children and adolescents in a comprehensive, compassionate way that evaluates how traumatic experiences impact a youth’s development, functioning, and behavior, rather than simply labeling symptoms.

Learning Objectives:

1. Describe a trauma-informed assessment
2. Describe how trauma-informed assessments can support healthy development
3. Identify considerations for assessments with children and adolescents
4. Identify common mistakes in assessments with children and adolescents
