Telehealth at Centerstone
At Centerstone, your safety is our top priority. Telehealth has been available to our patients for some time now, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re encouraging our patients to use our telehealth options now more than ever.
What is telehealth anyway?
Telehealth simply means that you can see your usual provider using secure video chat or telephone options. Using a computer, tablet or cell phone, you will be able to see, hear and speak with your clinician, and discuss your plan of care, without ever having to leave your home! Our telehealth platforms are confidential and HIPAA compliant – so you can feel at ease that your privacy is protected.
What should I expect during a telehealth visit?
Your visit will be like any face-to-face appointment except that you will see and talk to your healthcare provider via video-conferencing software on your phone, tablet or computer. You will be asked to give verbal consent to participate in a televideo conference, which gives us permission to proceed with your visit. Your clinician will call you from a private room to ensure your privacy is protected. You may have a friend or family member present during your appointment if it makes you feel more comfortable.
What about my privacy?
Your telehealth appointment is always private and confidential. Our telehealth counseling and care sessions uses a secure, encrypted network to transmit your visit. This ensures the protection of your privacy. At Centerstone, your appointment will take place in a private room to keep your conversation and information private and confidential. Other than the people present in your room, no one else can watch your appointment. Your visit will not be videotaped.
