Big Top Fun is Coming BACK!
Last April, the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Centerstone asked the community to “step right up” to celebrate our nation’s littlest heroes, and step right up it did! In honor of the Month of the Military Child, the clinic hosted its first ever do-it-yourself carnival where community partners from around the area helped bring smiles to hundreds of military families. The event was such an overwhelming success there was no question it would back for 2024 and organizers are looking now for organizations and sponsors who want join in the fun.
“We were blown away by the response for last year’s carnival,” Meghan Williams, the clinic’s outreach director explained. “Our friends in the community all pitched in to make this event one for the record books. This year, we’re hoping even more area businesses and organizations will add to the big show. ”
Those looking to participate as a carnival vendor are asked to create a carnival game complete with prizes for the kids and to bring along valuable resource information for the parents. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for items such as a bouncy house, balloon twisters, character actors, a dunking booth and other carnival attractions.
“Our community made this event so special last year,” Williams said. “We couldn’t be more grateful. It was absolutely heartwarming to see so many come together to ensure our military families were given a day to remember. We can’t wait to do it all again.”
This year’s carnival is set for April 20th from 11am-2pm at the clinic located at 775 Weatherly Drive in Clarksville. Interested vendors and sponsors are encouraged to reach out to Meghan Williams at Meghan.williams@centerstone.org. Meanwhile, all attractions and games at the carnival are free and open to the entire military community.
