Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS), also known as abusive head trauma, occurs when an infant or young child is violently shaken. While this is not a medical training, participants will learn to understand the signs, effects, and causes of SBS, as well as the impact on families and society. The presenter of this training is Rachel Chruszczyk, Prevention Specialist for Prevent Child Abuse of Illinois. This event will be offering 1.5 hours of continuing education units approved for IL LCPC/LPC, IL LCSW/LSW, and IL Nursing (LPN, RN, APN).
