Sandy Chan is the Designated Institutional Official (DIO) and Program Administrator of the Psychiatry Residency Program in Florida. As DIO, Chan ensures that goals and objectives for the residency program are accomplished in accordance with policies and practices by coordinating program activities and functions. She has over 10 years of experience working in not-for-profit organizations, with over 6 years of working in healthcare education. She has been part of Centerstone’s team since 2020. Throughout the 2020-2022 academic years, Chan developed and executed an action plan that guided the Residency Program from an Initial Accreditation status to a successful Continued Accreditation status.
Chan is a member of the American Association of Directors of Psychiatric Residency Training (AADPRT) and a nominee as a Centerstone Values Champion for exemplifying Expertise. She graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor of science in health education and from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine with a masters of health service administration.
