Synopsis of Training:
This live training covers an evidence-informed interpersonal model of suicide prevention and care called RELATE. Participants will learn about the upstream approach to suicide prevention and how to reframe safety planning into building a life worth living

Learning Objectives:

1. Understand the importance of an upstream approach to suicide prevention.
2. Identify the three main drivers of suicide and how to incorporate those within a safety plan.
3. Review strategies that could prevent suicide by improving well-being and quality of life.

About The Trainer:

Christina Gillim received her Masters in Psychology from Lipscomb University and is currently working on her PhD in International Psychology with a concentration in Trauma. She has five years’ experience working in community mental health with individuals in crisis. Christina has also worked closely with the Metro Nashville Police Department providing trainings on Crisis Intervention. She joined the Clinical Education team at the Centerstone Research Institute in March of 2022. Her research areas of interest include complex trauma in children, suicide prevention, and crisis intervention.

The Centerstone Research Institute has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7204. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Centerstone Research Institute is solely responsible for all aspects of programs.
