Laurel A. Eakes is a Regional Compliance & Privacy Officer. In this role, she administers and oversees the Compliance & Privacy programs in Florida & Tennessee. She is a seasoned health care compliance and privacy professional with 27+ years of healthcare experience.
She received her Bachelors of Science in Political Science (Pre-Law) from Middle Tennessee State University and is a Paralegal. Ms. Eakes is Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) and is Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) from the Health Care Compliance Association.
Prior to joining Centerstone, Ms. Eakes provided compliance and privacy consulting services. Additionally, in her career she has served as the Compliance Officer at a 286-bed facility in Middle Tennessee and as the Compliance and Privacy Officer for a multi-state network of physician clinics.
