Take a Journey and Get to Know Centerstone

Annual Report is Here!

Centerstone’s Fiscal Year 2024 Annual Report is now available! The report provides a great overview of our organization and includes many details of our work over the last fiscal year. In it, you’ll find moving stories from our patients, highlights from some of our special achievements and successes, as well as information about Centerstone’s focus on efforts in the year to come.

This year, our report design is all about the journey that our organization is taking toward a better and brighter future. Like our patients’ healthcare journeys, the road isn’t always linear. It can be filled with twists, turns, breakthroughs, and setbacks. However, with your dedication, Centerstone continues to move forward, committed to creating a strong, positive workplace culture for our teams and improved outcomes for our patients.

Friend of Centerstone: Keith O’Neill

Keith O’Neill is a long time dedicated champion of Centerstone. Recently his shared his story with us, stating that he has had a blessed life.

“I was fortunate to find a love for the hospitality industry early in life and developed a passion for healthcare food service. The mission of helping others was a passion I learned from my parents and a career in healthcare food service filled that desire.”

Keith’s career was successful within the food service industry and led him to create and manage several companies. He became connected to Centerstone when his daughter needed support.

“Our oldest daughter was a national cheerleader champion in high school. She sustained a serious back injury from a fall from a human pyramid in her senior year. She was prescribed pain meds that eventually led to a serious addition. A 15 year battle brought us to Centerstone and First Step. I believe that together they saved our daughter Brittany’s life on more than one occasion. Brittany has been in recovery for over 2 years and for the first time in 15 years, he feels she is in the best frame of mindI believe Centerstone has saved her life and helped her regain her confidence and self-worth which has placed her on a path to be a socially responsible citizen.”

7 years ago, Keith and his wife adopted Cannon, Brittany’s son and their grandchild. Over time they have created a strong family bond together. Keith credits this success to Centerstone as well.

“The addiction recovery program has obviously been life saving for Brittany and our family. We are eternally grateful for all they have done and continue to do for her.”

Journey to Recovery at Centerstone

Treatment for addiction is not “one size fits all” which is why we work alongside our patients to understand their situation and identify a treatment plan that fits their unique needs. Addiction services can take place in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient and residential.

When asked what makes Centerstone programs unique, Grace Davis, Program Manager, stated “we are a unique program because clients are able to get all of their services for substance use and mental health in one place.” This means we offer the entire continuum of addiction treatment. Stacy Seitz, Clinical Director of Addiction Treatment, says this provides clients with direct access to “detox services, step down to residential treatment, move to extended care services for extended support of their recovery, and successful transition back into the community with outpatient services.”

Centerstone’s ability to assist someone throughout their recovery journey has lead to many successful stories. One person recently called after discharge from our Addiction Center. She’s been maintaining her sobriety and shared that this has allowed her to reconnect with her mother and daughter. “She gets to witness her daughter’s high school graduation now which she attributes to her success in the program” stated Victoria Kastor, Director of Inpatient Clinical.

There are more people with stories like these who are in need of Centerstone’s care. Lifesaving services for people living with addiction are often underfunded and financially difficult for them to attain. It’s donors like you who continue to help Centerstone provide and expand services, such as co-occurring therapy, peer support services, and medication assisted treatment (MAT). Your gifts matter. Please consider starting 2025 with a gift to partner with Centerstone in delivering care that changes people’s lives.
