Substance Use Outpatient Programs
Centerstone offers different types of outpatient rehab services so that clients can smoothly transition from more intensive treatment to less intensive therapy. We help you manage your own recovery with less clinical support and more added self-reliance through a number of personalized approaches.
Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP)
IOP is a day program that represents the most concentrated therapy schedule with meetings held five to six days per week, lasting up to six hours per day. This program does not require clients to live at our facility. Programming, which typically lasts 90 days, consists of group therapy and individual counseling; participation also includes drug testing. IOP’s format allows clients to participate in recovery while accommodating family and/or work commitments.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
PHP is often an option if clients’ insurance does not approve coverage for residential treatment. Clients can follow residential programming and live at our facility by paying a nominal fee for room and board.
Outpatient Treatment
Patients with mild to moderate drug addiction may find outpatient treatment most appropriate. Group sessions and individual counseling are conducted at regular times each week. Clients typically spend three to six months in an outpatient program. Because outpatient treatment allows clients to remain at home, social support is also part of the treatment plan.
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
Medication-assisted treatment combines behavioral therapy with medications to treat substance use addiction. Centerstone’s MAT program prescribes Vivitrol for alcoholism treatment and suboxone for opioid addiction. These medications are used to manage substance dependence in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies. The MAT approach has proven to improve client survival, increase retention in treatment, increase the ability to gain and maintain employment, decrease criminal activity, and improve birth outcomes among women who have substance use disorders during pregnancy.
How much does outpatient treatment cost?
Fees for outpatient services vary depending upon the scope and length of treatment. We are IN-NETWORK with most major insurance providers, including Medicare and Tricare. For individuals with no insurance, our finance team can advise on sliding scale fees.

Information for Visitors and Loved Ones
While your loved one is a client at Centerstone Addiction Center, they are in the care of an interdisciplinary clinical team. A case manager is assigned to each client and serves as your point of contact. The case manager will keep you advised of your loved one’s progress, discharge plan, and ongoing recovery planning provided the client has signed consent for you to participate in their treatment. If you have information to share regarding your loved one, please alert the case manager or unit nurse upon admission. Once your loved one is ready for the transition back to home, work, and family, follow-up treatment, support and education are essential for continued recovery for both you and your loved one.
