Dr. Vinita Watts serves as Centerstone’s Chief Medical Officer. Her leadership, clinical supervision, and oversight of Centerstone’s psychiatric team ensure exceptional quality care for Centerstone patients. As part of Centerstone’s executive leadership team, she is a key stakeholder in shaping, implementing, and supporting strategic and operational goals for the enterprise.

Before stepping into her role as CMO, Dr. Watts served as Centerstone’s director of child and adolescent services where she provided direct clinical care to children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and substance abuse disorders. She provided medical oversight and management of child and adolescent services including supervision of nurse practitioners, therapists, and other clinical teams. In her previous roles as psychiatrist with Quicnco Behavioral Health Systems and Columbus Regional Hospital’s Psychiatric Associates, she played a pivotal role in developing an adolescent inpatient unit, participated in community mental health initiatives, and provided direct care to patients and consultation to clinical teams.

Dr. Watts completed her general psychiatry residency at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and completed a child and adolescent fellowship at the University of Kentucky A.B. Chandler Medical Center. She earned her bachelor’s of science degree from the University of Kentucky, and her doctor of medicine degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. She is an active member of the Bartholomew County Medical Society, the Indiana State Medical Association, and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
