Substance Use Adult Intensive Outpatient

The Adult Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is for anyone 18 years or older with a substance use disorder diagnosis who is needing 9–19 hours per week of care.
The Intensive Outpatient Program provides therapeutic support programs in a predominantly group counseling setting which focuses on resiliency and recovery skills.
We offer individual therapy, group therapy, case management, and peer support services.
Patients must meet criteria that is established by their health plan for medical necessity for treatment. This typically includes individuals who have recently started their recovery, have recently stepped down from substance use inpatient or residential facilities, or those who find it difficult to abstain from substances at a lower level of care.
Services are available in-person at the Carbondale and Alton locations at this time.
