Hope Expands for Military Families

Military families across seven states are now able to receive the help they need thanks to the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinics at Centerstone.

The partnership between the Cohen Veterans Network (CVN) and Centerstone is growing these days. The two organizations joined forces over three years ago to bring compassionate, comprehensive, accessible mental health care to post 9/11 veterans, National guard and Reserve and all military family members including active duty in Tennessee and Kentucky with their Clarksville, TN clinic, located at 775 Weatherly Drive. Now, based on this first clinic’s overwhelming successes and commitment to the community, CVN and Centerstone are proud to announce not only have they united for, and opened a second clinic in Jacksonville, FL, but they are expanding services to military families in Georgia, North and South Carolina and Indiana.

“We can now support our veterans and loved ones in seven states,” Lisa Eggebeen, Regional Director of the Cohen Clinics at Centerstone said. “By adding a clinic in Florida and securing clinical licensures in other states we are ensuring military families have access to the help they need.”

Clinic teams in both Clarksville and Jacksonville are contributing to this effort by gaining out-of-state licenses and sharing responsibilities of care including comprehensive services such as case management assistance for families needing resources beyond mental health services.

“We are so grateful to be able to be a source of hope and healing for our military families,” Eggebeen said. “The fact that we can now help our nation’s heroes in so many different locations is incredibly heartwarming.”

Military families seeking individual, family, or couples counseling for a variety of concerns such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, PTSD, relationship concerns, child behavioral and familial issues can do so by simply calling either the Clarksville location at (931) 221-3850 or the Jacksonville location at (904) 431-3500.  All services will be provided via telehealth, allowing military families to receive support right from their homes through their computers, tablets or smartphones.

“We believe no veteran or family member should ever struggle alone,” Eggebeen said. “By expanding our services we are holding fast to that belief and are honored to help those who have given so much.”
