Jax River City Pride

Jax River City Pride is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit All-Volunteer organization which strives to make a long-lasting impact in Jacksonville’s LGBTQIA+ Community. Held annually in October, Jax River City Pride invites everyone to come together and experience the family-friendly celebration of our diverse community. With over 15,000 visitors each year, it’s a joyous opportunity to celebrate and embrace the spirit of Pride. This year’s festival was held on Saturday, October 7th, and provided Outreach Director DeAndrea Fuller and Lead Clinician Deanna Iovino with a platform to engage with LGBTQIA+ veterans and family members, allowing them to highlight the various supportive services available through the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Centerstone. The parade took place on Sunday, October 8th, and was a 1.5 mile celebration through one of the most prominent historic LGBTQIA+ communities in Jacksonville, featuring thousands of supporters. The first Pride celebration in Jacksonville took place in 1978 at Willow Branch Park, where the parade route began and launched the movement that has grown through the decades. The Jacksonville team was proud to stand together in the parade and show support for our diverse military community.
