1st Annual Responders First 9/11 Days of Service To Serve Up 200+ First Responders & Veterans With Free, Delivered Meals

The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Centerstone, along with Veterans Bridge Home, T-Mobile, Wounded Warrior Project® and Humana teamed up for the 1st Annual Responders First 9/11 Days of Service this September 10 and 11, 2021. More than 200 first responders/veterans in our community were treated to a free meal to show appreciation for keeping us safe every day.

On both days, Fayetteville Fire and Police departments, as well as local 911 Call Centers enjoyed pizza, lasagna, quiche or a pulled pork-baked bean supper.

This community service event was hosted to recognize the September 11 National Day of Service & Remembrance, a federally recognized National Day of Service that occurs on the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. It’s a positive way of marking the day and the heroic actions of so many first responders and veterans that followed.
