Meet Our Advisory Council: Dr. Michael Sorna
Dr Sorna is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of FL School of Medicine, Jacksonville. He is board certified in Addiction Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. He is Director of Addiction Services at the UF Health Jacksonville Campus. He is also the Medical Director of the UF Health Jacksonville Brain Wellness Program, a program that treats Veterans and First Responders with mild to moderate TBI and associated mental wellness and substance use conditions. He is a former Naval Aviator (pilot), Fleet Marine Force Qualified Officer, and retired Army Reserve Officer (COL). He has deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Kosovo. He has been married to Betty Sorna for 27 years, has four children, two grandchildren, and a pug.
