Child Watch Now Available

Ensuring military families receive the support they need just got easier. The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Centerstone is proud to announce the clinic has partnered with Fort Campbell’s Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA) and is now offering child watch for parents needing child care when seeking services.

“We are thrilled about this partnership,” Clinic Director, Julie Adams shared. “Too often parents can struggle to receive the support they need because they cannot find child care. The ASYMCA is helping us ease that concern and is now offering child watch services in our clinic three days a week.”

Currently, ASYMCA team members are onsite at the clinic Mondays from 8am-12pm, Tuesdays from 2pm-6pm and Wednesdays from 8am-12pm.

“We tried to offer a variety of timeslots to meet parent needs and schedules,” Adams said. “We hope by offering this service we can better serve our military families.”

The ASYMCA and the Cohen Clinic at Centerstone began offering child watch services for a short time in December to identify any concerns in the process. Now, as the New Year begins, both groups are thrilled to hit the ground running and plan to meet regularly to ensure the program runs smoothly.

Parents looking to take advantage of child watch services are asked to make their appointment for therapy services and then contact that ASYMCA for child watch availability.

“It is important that our clients coordinate directly with the ASYMCA to ensure availability,” Adams explained. “Our front desk staff is well versed in the steps that need to be taken and are ready to help navigate any concerns with our clients. In the end, both the ASYMCA and our team are so happy that we can offer these services to our military families and look forward to better supporting this most deserving population.
