Thank you, Ramona, Our Retiring CEO
Ramona, who has led the Foundation as CEO since 2018, will retire after more than 35 years of dedicated service to Centerstone.
Â
Ramona has established a strong vision and strategy that has guided the team to raise more than $50 million in support of our mission, engaging more than 7,000 new donors, and growing national and major donor support. She’s led the growth of many of Centerstone’s signature events, like the Life;Story 5K/10K races, Reclaiming Lives Luncheon, and Fairway to Recovery. We are grateful for Ramona’s leadership, creativity, and commitment to our mission, which has left an enduring impact on Centerstone.

Providing Essential Assistance to Your Community with CARES

Ava was in an abusive situation, but was finally able to get out of that situation and obtain a place of her own. One of her enjoyments/coping skills was doing artwork of either adult coloring books, or acrylic painting. However, her ex-partner destroyed all of her art supplies and put his fist through her paintings. To help her continue to heal, gifts made to the CARES Fund allowed her care team to provide her with painting supplies so she could begin to create new artwork projects.

Evan, who had an unforeseen traumatic event in 2023, has been unable to maintain consistent employment due to symptoms of PTSD, and a lack of community and family support. Since then, he has maintained temporary employment doing daily labor jobs, door dash, and is actively seeking out a new career path as an automotive technician. His care team utilized CARES funds to help Evan fix his car and removed the transportation barrier so he could continue to focus on his treatment.
To assist in removing barriers and provide services outside of mental health services, Centerstone created a fund called CARES, which is an acronym for Client Assistance and Relief for Essential Supports. The CARES Fund is a donor-funded designation that provides direct urgent temporary assistance to improve social drivers of health for individual clients that, without assistance, would negatively impact the success of their treatment and recovery.
Imagine a community where each person, regardless of their circumstances, can find the support they seek—your generous contributions bring this vision closer to reality.Â
