Open Access

Centerstone offers Open Access hours to help connect you with the mental health or substance use disorder services you need in a timely manner. Please review the following options to begin your services at Centerstone:

The best way to get started for services is to call us at (877) 467-3123 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. We will get your information and work with you on starting services.

We have a first-come, first-serve virtual waitlist for clients who can utilize our Open Access Assessment Service. Using the Virtual Open Access Assessment Service by calling (877) 467-3123 is preferred.

If you have private health insurance or Medicare, call (877) 467-3123 first to verify coverage and schedule your first appointment.

Know before you call/go:

  • It will take approximately 1-2 hours to complete your assessment
  • A parent or guardian must be present for youth assessments (under 18 years old)
  • Have your insurance/Medicare/Medicaid cards with you, along with a list of current and discontinued medications with dosages.

Financial Assistance

The Sliding Fee Discount Program must be offered to all patients with annual incomes at or below 200 percent of the most current Federal Poverty Guidelines (FPG). For individuals with annual incomes at or below 100 percent of the FPG, CCBHC sites and NHSC-approved sites must provide services at no charge, or at a nominal charge. For individuals with incomes above 100 percent, but at or below 200 percent of the FPG, NHSC-approved sites must provide services at a nominal charge, which can be in the form of a sliding fee, or schedule of discounts.

Centerstone's Fellowship House Campus provides services to people who suffer with substance use disorders (SUDs) and co-occurring problems. Insurances accepted are Illinois Medicaid or Illinois Medicaid-Managed Care. Individuals with no insurance and no/low income may be eligible.

Centerstone to host free, virtual Creating Compassionate Communities two-day training

Centerstone, a national leader in behavioral health care, will host a free, virtual Engaging Families two-day training October 25-26 from 3-5 p.m.  CEUs and CPDUs are available. Families and parenting adults are vital to young people’s learning and development. Yet it can be challenging to engage them meaningfully, particularly as their children enter middle and high school. This workshop reframes family engagement based on developmental relationships. In doing so, it sews seeds for practical strategies to work together for young people’s resilience and thriving. Objectives of the training include:

  • Learn how to engage diverse families as critical allies for advancing education, youth development, and resilience.
  • Understand the often-hidden obstacles to partnering with families and learn practical ways to address those challenges.
  • Learn respectful ways to build trust across differences.
  • Begin to design relationship-rich, engaging learning experiences for parenting adults and their families. Take home tools and strategies to guide their next steps in launching or improving relationship-based family engagement efforts.
